We have been hearing how despite the US democrats in razor thin majority both in the House and the Senate, it seems there’s at least 2 democrats who simply refuse to “play ball” Sen. Manchin & Sen. Sinema who keep up this diatripe about partisan voting….what a crock
They are only ever saying that because the gop have been rather stonewalling anything being voted on by democrats….”they can do it alone” knowing full well, there’s a split in the democratic party these days…progressives vs. the conservatives…and it seems tackling the debt ceiling SHOULD be first
Don’t have to take on “build back better” just yet since there’s not enough votes
Tho and here, we just hope we can avoid a government shutdown, but odds are against it with Sen. Manchin and Sen. Sinema who are only interested in how much they can get from their donors
So…bottomline, odds are yes, there probably will be a shutdown…sorry
There you have it, with the way things are going, bills get passed in the House at lightening speed, only to gather dust in the Senate namely because of, at least the 2 democrats more interested in how much they can make by shutting down the government
Hm…it seems there hasn’t yet been a shutdown, its only been postponed, but okay that IS better than a shutdown anyway…however the question arises yet again;
Why is there still a “debt ceiling”? We now write 2021 and there’s STILL a debt ceiling…we really seriously do NOT need a debt ceiling, but like everything else, we have to go thru the theatrics of “will they raise the debt ceiling or will there be a government shutdown?”
But its like the filibuster….its still there and we could well do without it yet it remains
